Responsibilities
- Analyze municipal datasets to identify trends and support evidence-based policy recommendations
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for city council meetings and departmental stakeholders
- Coordinate cross-functional projects between city departments ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations
- Assist in grant application processes and compliance monitoring for federal/state funding programs
- Support public outreach initiatives including community meetings and digital engagement platforms
- Track legislative developments at federal/state levels and assess local impact potential
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with open records requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Urban Planning, or related field
- 0-2 years of experience in government, non-profit, or policy research environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and data visualization tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
- Basic understanding of federal/state regulatory frameworks applicable to local government
- Valid Texas Driver's License (required for occasional site visits)
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass required background checks
