Responsibilities
- Perform general clerical duties including data entry, filing, and scanning documents with high accuracy.
- Assist the public and internal staff by answering telephones, responding to inquiries, and directing calls to the appropriate departments.
- Prepare, compile, and distribute correspondence, reports, and presentations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and databases in compliance with state regulations.
- Support the coordination of meetings, including room scheduling and preparing meeting materials.
- Assist in the processing of timecards and leave requests for assigned staff.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support organizational goals.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business, or a related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 0-1 year of experience in an office or administrative setting preferred, but not required for exceptional candidates.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
- Valid California driver’s license is not required but may be necessary for some assignments.
