Responsibilities
- Handle Incoming Inquiries: Answer phone calls and greet visitors at the front desk, directing them to the appropriate departments with a professional and welcoming demeanor.
- Data Entry & Record Keeping: Accurately input, update, and maintain confidential government records and databases using standard office software.
- Document Management: File, organize, and retrieve physical and digital documents to ensure efficient office operations.
- Customer Assistance: Assist citizens in navigating county services, providing information, and processing basic requests.
- Office Support: Perform general clerical duties such as photocopying, scanning, and preparing correspondence or reports.
- Attend Training: Participate in mandatory orientation and ongoing training sessions to enhance job knowledge and compliance.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED is required; Associate’s degree preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience: No prior work experience required. Previous volunteer or academic experience is a plus but not a requirement.
- Computer Skills: Basic computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is helpful but training will be provided.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact respectfully with a diverse public.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain accuracy in repetitive tasks.
