Responsibilities
- Perform General Clerical Duties: Answer incoming calls, greet visitors, and direct inquiries to the appropriate department or staff member.
- Data Entry & Record Keeping: Accurately input data into computer systems and maintain organized physical and digital filing systems.
- Assist the Public: Provide exceptional customer service by assisting residents with forms, applications, and general information requests.
- Office Support: Prepare documents, proofread correspondence, and assist with mail distribution and scanning.
- Inventory Management: Assist in the ordering and stocking of office supplies and equipment as needed.
- Special Projects: Support various departments with ad-hoc administrative tasks and special projects as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Experience: No prior work experience in a government or administrative role is required; on-the-job training will be provided.
- Computer Skills: Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is preferred but not mandatory.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with the public.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to perform tasks with high accuracy and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and able to follow instructions carefully.
