Responsibilities
- General Office Support: Perform routine clerical duties including filing, data entry, and document management to ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Constituent Assistance: Answer incoming inquiries via phone and email, directing them to the appropriate departments or providing general information.
- Record Maintenance: Maintain and update government databases and filing systems with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
- Mail Processing: Sort and distribute incoming mail, as well as prepare outgoing correspondence and packages.
- Meeting Support: Assist in preparing meeting materials, setting up conference rooms, and taking minutes during internal departmental meetings.
- Inventory Management: Monitor office supply levels and place orders as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: No prior experience required. Previous office or customer service experience is a plus but not mandatory.
- Skills: Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with the public and colleagues.
- Reliability: Demonstrated ability to be punctual, organized, and detail-oriented.
- Background: Ability to pass a background check and adhere to federal/state security protocols.
