Your Role:
As an Entry Level Government Clerk, you will be the face of our office, assisting the public with inquiries and maintaining critical records. This role is ideal for recent graduates or those looking to transition into a stable career.
Responsibilities
- Receive and direct incoming calls and visitors with professionalism and courtesy.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate electronic and hard-copy filing systems.
- Assist the public with document processing, forms, and permit applications.
- Sort and distribute incoming mail and packages efficiently.
- Prepare routine correspondence, memos, and reports as directed by supervisors.
- Ensure compliance with state regulations and office protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline office workflows and improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred.
- Previous office or customer service experience is a plus but not required for entry-level candidates.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
