Responsibilities
- Process Pension Applications: Review and process incoming retirement applications to ensure accuracy and timely disbursement of benefits.
- Member Inquiries: Provide exceptional customer service to current and retired employees regarding pension plan questions and benefit statements.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of employee contributions, vesting schedules, and benefit calculations.
- Regulatory Compliance: Assist in ensuring all pension processing adheres to local, state, and federal government regulations.
- Reporting: Prepare and compile monthly reports on pension activity and membership statistics for management review.
- System Support: Support the IT team in troubleshooting issues related to our pension administration software.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: No prior professional experience required; entry-level candidates with internship experience in administrative or customer service roles are encouraged to apply.
- Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) is required; experience with database software is a plus.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly to the public.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to perform detailed work with a high degree of accuracy.
- Integrity: Must be trustworthy and capable of handling sensitive financial and personal data with strict confidentiality.
