Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for federal computer systems, hardware, and software applications.
- Assist in the maintenance and troubleshooting of local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN).
- Monitor system performance and perform routine security audits to ensure compliance with federal regulations.
- Install, configure, and update operating systems and security patches on federal workstations.
- Document technical issues and resolutions in the IT service desk database.
- Collaborate with senior IT staff to implement new technology solutions.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent technical experience).
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware, networking concepts, and operating systems (Windows, Linux).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- U.S. Citizenship is required for most federal positions.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a favorable background investigation (Secret clearance).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
