Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support to federal employees, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues efficiently.
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of operating systems, applications, and peripheral devices across various agency locations.
- Monitor system performance and security alerts, ensuring compliance with federal IT security policies and protocols.
- Document technical procedures and troubleshooting steps to maintain a knowledge base for the team and improve service delivery.
- Collaborate with senior IT professionals to implement new technology solutions and upgrade legacy systems.
- Maintain accurate inventory records for all hardware and software assets to support procurement and auditing processes.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Windows operating systems, and basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN).
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues and provide practical solutions.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a favorable background investigation and security clearance as required by the position.
