Responsibilities
- System Administration: Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software systems for federal agencies.
- User Support: Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support to government employees via phone and ticketing systems.
- Network Maintenance: Monitor network performance and resolve connectivity issues to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Data Security: Assist in maintaining cybersecurity protocols and reporting potential vulnerabilities.
- Documentation: Create and update technical manuals, configuration guides, and incident reports.
- Project Assistance: Support senior engineers in large-scale IT modernization projects.
- Inventory Management: Track and manage IT assets and equipment across multiple locations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is required for most federal positions.
- Certifications: CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level consideration.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Windows Server, and basic networking concepts.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Adaptability: Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to a dynamic federal environment.
