Responsibilities
- Provide tier-1 technical support and troubleshooting for federal employees regarding hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, printers, and peripheral devices in accordance with federal IT security standards.
- Assist in the deployment and management of operating systems and essential productivity software.
- Maintain accurate records of all help desk tickets, repairs, and system configurations.
- Collaborate with senior IT staff to implement system upgrades and security patches.
- Adhere to strict federal regulations and agency protocols regarding data privacy and information security.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent; Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware components and operating systems (Windows 10/11).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general computer proficiency.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
- U.S. Citizenship is required for this federal position.
- Ability to pass a standard background investigation and obtain a Public Trust clearance.
