Responsibilities
- System Support: Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer hardware, software, and network systems for federal facilities.
- User Assistance: Provide Tier 1 help desk support and technical guidance to agency staff and Veterans.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of system configurations, incidents, and resolutions.
- Security Compliance: Assist in enforcing IT security protocols and ensuring compliance with federal standards.
- Network Maintenance: Monitor network performance and perform routine maintenance to ensure system uptime.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, OR a combination of education and specialized experience.
- Experience: At least 6 months of specialized experience or a high school diploma with relevant technical coursework.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic knowledge of networking concepts.
- Certifications: Completion of an IT certification program (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+) is preferred but not required for entry-level candidates.
- Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a favorable background investigation.
