Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily maintenance and troubleshooting of computer hardware, software, and network systems.
- Monitor network performance and ensure compliance with federal IT security protocols and standards.
- Provide technical support and user assistance to agency staff regarding hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Participate in the installation, configuration, and deployment of new IT equipment and software applications.
- Document technical issues, resolutions, and system changes in the agency’s Knowledge Management system.
- Collaborate with senior IT staff on system upgrades, migrations, and security assessments.
- Adhere to strict federal guidelines regarding data privacy and information security.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is required for federal employment.
- Education: Associate degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Experience with Windows operating systems, basic networking concepts, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting.
