Responsibilities
- Assist in pension benefit calculations and eligibility determinations for public sector employees
- Process retirement applications and maintain participant records with 100% accuracy
- Contribute to compliance audits by gathering documentation and supporting regulatory reviews
- Analyze participant data trends and prepare reports for plan governance committees
- Respond to participant inquiries regarding pension benefits via email and phone
- Collaborate with investment and actuarial teams on plan administration tasks
- Support annual valuation processes and benefit statement distributions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- 0-2 years of experience in pension administration or benefits administration
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and database management systems
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in financial calculations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Basic understanding of ERISA and California pension regulations
- U.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work in the United States
