Responsibilities
- Process retirement applications and pension distributions with meticulous attention to detail
- Verify member eligibility and contribution records against state guidelines
- Respond to inquiries from retirees, employers, and beneficiaries via phone/email
- Assist with annual pension valuation calculations and reporting requirements
- Maintain accurate pension records in our proprietary database system
- Collaborate with legal and audit teams on compliance documentation
- Participate in ongoing training on pension regulations and system updates
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- 0-2 years of experience in pensions, benefits, or financial services
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to numerical accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion
- Basic understanding of ERISA and Ohio Revised Code pension regulations
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility for government security clearance
