Responsibilities
- Administer federal pension plans in compliance with ERISA and OPM regulations
- Process retirement applications, benefit calculations, and distribution requests
- Conduct audits of pension fund investments and actuarial reports
- Respond to complex inquiries from federal employees and retirees
- Collaborate with legal teams on pension litigation and regulatory updates
- Maintain secure records of pension transactions and beneficiary data
- Prepare quarterly reports for congressional oversight committees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 3+ years of pension administration experience
- Federal benefits certification (e.g., CBP, CFP)
- Proficiency with federal pension systems (e.g., HRIS, FEGLI)
- Knowledge of ERISA, TCC, and CSRS/FERS regulations
- Ability to work independently during night shifts (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Active Secret security clearance
- Advanced Excel and database management skills
