Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and data entry of federal pension applications and benefit forms.
- Review incoming correspondence regarding retirement inquiries and respond with accurate information.
- Update and maintain electronic and physical records for federal retirees and beneficiaries.
- Support the Senior Pension Analyst with regulatory compliance and audit preparation.
- Communicate effectively with internal staff and external stakeholders regarding pension status updates.
- Perform routine administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the pension division office.
- Participate in training programs to gain knowledge of federal pension systems (FERS).
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- No prior federal or pension experience necessary; we train the right candidates.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain data accuracy.
- Basic computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive personal and financial information.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to pass a federal background check.
