Responsibilities
- Process and audit pension benefit calculations and retirement applications to ensure compliance with state regulations.
- Verify employee records, salary history, and service dates for pension eligibility.
- Respond to inquiries from current and retired state employees regarding pension status and benefits via phone and email.
- Maintain and update confidential databases with the highest level of data integrity.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual pension reports and statistical summaries.
- Collaborate with the HR and Finance teams to resolve discrepancies in pension data.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong analytical skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for public-facing interactions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) is required.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- U.S. Citizenship or valid permanent residency is required.
