Responsibilities
- Review and process incoming pension applications, claims, and inquiries with a high degree of accuracy and compliance.
- Provide exceptional customer service to retirees and beneficiaries via phone, email, and in-person meetings.
- Analyze financial data to ensure correct benefit calculations and deductions.
- Collaborate with the HR and Actuarial teams to maintain up-to-date pension records.
- Assist in the development and distribution of informational resources regarding retirement plans.
- Ensure strict adherence to state and federal regulations governing public pension plans.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Public Administration preferred.
- Previous experience in a government, banking, or financial services environment is highly desirable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial documents.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding employee records.
