Responsibilities
- Analyze complex policy issues and draft concise research memos for senior leadership
- Support legislative tracking and regulatory compliance initiatives
- Conduct data analysis using Excel and statistical software to inform policy recommendations
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement sessions and public comment periods
- Assist in drafting policy proposals and impact assessments
- Support grant administration and program evaluation processes
- Prepare reports for legislative committees and public hearings
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Economics, or related field
- 0-2 years of policy analysis, research, or government internship experience
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights
- Knowledge of Washington State government structure and processes
