- Implement secure destruction protocols for expired records with proper authorization
- Utilize city document management systems (e.g., Laserfiche) for record lifecycle tracking
- Conduct regular audits to ensure physical and digital record integrity
- Provide basic records training to department staff as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Minimum 1 year records management or administrative experience
- Familiarity with document management systems (Laserfiche a plus)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Ability to pass background check and obtain security clearance
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic knowledge of Texas Public Information Act
