Responsibilities
- Conduct research and analysis on policy issues affecting the veteran population.
- Assist in drafting reports, briefings, and memorandums for senior leadership.
- Collect and evaluate data to support decision-making processes within the agency.
- Coordinate with interagency teams and external stakeholders to ensure policy alignment.
- Monitor legislative updates and regulatory changes relevant to departmental operations.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with federal regulations.
- Participate in stakeholder meetings and provide administrative support as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Sociology, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Experience: No prior professional experience required; entry-level candidates with academic research experience are encouraged to apply.
- Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Attributes: Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment; attention to detail and strong analytical thinking.
- Background: Must pass a background investigation and drug screening.
