Responsibilities
- Assist the public with inquiries regarding DPS services, license applications, and general departmental information.
- Process and maintain accurate records, files, and data entries using state-of-the-art computer systems.
- Operate standard office equipment, including printers, scanners, and fax machines, to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Prepare, proofread, and distribute correspondence, reports, and administrative documents.
- Organize the reception area and manage incoming and outgoing mail with efficiency and professionalism.
- Collaborate with team members to meet departmental service goals and maintain a high standard of excellence.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with the public.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Valid Texas driverβs license and reliable transportation are required.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen (standard for state employment).
