Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support and troubleshooting for hardware and software issues for government employees.
- Assist in the maintenance and deployment of computer workstations, printers, and mobile devices.
- Update and maintain accurate records in state government databases and ticketing systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new IT solutions and improve service delivery.
- Participate in mandatory security training and compliance workshops.
- Document technical procedures and user guides for departmental use.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent (Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is a plus).
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and operating systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be eligible to obtain a State of Illinois security clearance/background check.
- Valid driver's license is not required but may be beneficial for on-site support.
