Responsibilities
- Assist with Traffic Data Collection: Support the collection and analysis of traffic data to identify trends and improve road safety.
- Customer Service Support: Serve as the first point of contact for public inquiries regarding transportation projects and regulations.
- Data Entry & Record Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of project milestones, budget allocations, and personnel files using state systems.
- Report Preparation: Draft routine reports and summaries for regional supervisors to ensure transparency and compliance with state standards.
- Project Coordination: Assist in coordinating between various departments to ensure smooth project execution and timely delivery.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Transportation, Planning, or a related field is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic computer navigation.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse audiences.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to manage detailed data and maintain organized filing systems.
- Driver's License: Valid North Carolina Driver’s License required for travel between sites.
