Responsibilities
- Sort and Process Mail: Organize incoming mail and packages efficiently to ensure timely delivery.
- Route Delivery: Drive postal vehicles to deliver mail and packages to residential and business addresses in the Kansas City area.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers to resolve delivery issues and answer inquiries.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform basic vehicle inspections and maintenance to ensure safety and compliance.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and postal regulations while on the job.
- Package Handling: Safely handle packages of varying weights and sizes, including lifting and carrying.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License: A valid state-issued driver's license is required.
- High School Diploma: A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy packages (up to 70 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to read maps and addresses.
- Reliability: Punctual and dependable with a history of consistent attendance.
