Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site inspections and audits of industrial facilities to ensure compliance with state environmental regulations
- Analyze air quality data and prepare comprehensive compliance reports for regulatory agencies
- Develop and implement environmental management plans for high-priority facilities
- Collaborate with legal teams to enforce compliance through notice letters and enforcement actions
- Provide technical guidance to regulated entities on best practices for pollution prevention
- Participate in interagency task forces addressing emerging environmental challenges
- Maintain accurate compliance records in state regulatory databases
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in environmental compliance or regulatory enforcement
- Valid Colorado driver's license with clean driving record
- Strong proficiency in environmental data analysis software (e.g., EQuS, AQS)
- Knowledge of federal/state environmental regulations (CAA, CWA, RCRA)
- Certified Environmental Auditor (CEA) or equivalent preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently in field environments and adverse weather conditions
