Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site inspections of industrial facilities for EPA/LDEQ compliance
- Prepare and enforce environmental permits for coastal development projects
- Analyze water quality data from Mississippi River Delta monitoring stations
- Coordinate with local government agencies on environmental impact assessments
- Develop compliance training programs for municipal partners
- Investigate citizen-reported environmental violations
- Maintain accurate digital records in LDEQ's compliance database
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field
- 3+ years regulatory compliance experience
- Valid Louisiana Environmental Specialist certification
- Proficiency with GIS mapping software
- Strong knowledge of federal Clean Water Act regulations
- Excellent written communication skills for technical reports
- Ability to travel 25% of time across coastal parishes
- Spanish language proficiency preferred
