Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive environmental compliance inspections for industrial facilities
- Analyze water/air quality data to identify potential violations
- Prepare detailed regulatory reports and enforcement documentation
- Develop pollution prevention strategies for local businesses
- Coordinate with federal agencies (EPA) on joint enforcement initiatives
- Provide technical guidance to businesses on regulatory compliance
- Respond to environmental complaints and emergency incidents
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, or related field
- Minimum 3 years environmental compliance/regulatory experience
- Knowledge of Florida's environmental regulations (Chapter 62-7, F.A.C.)
- Certified Environmental Auditor (CEA) or equivalent preferred
- Strong data analysis skills with regulatory reporting software
- Valid Florida driver's license with clean driving record
- Excellent written communication for technical documentation
