Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive environmental compliance strategies for coastal development projects
- Lead field investigations of pollution incidents and prepare detailed regulatory reports
- Coordinate interagency partnerships with NOAA, EPA, and local conservation groups
- Analyze complex environmental data using GIS mapping and statistical modeling tools
- Design public outreach programs to promote sustainable practices in Miami-Dade County
- Testify as expert witness in environmental regulatory hearings
- Mentor junior staff on Florida's environmental permitting processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of regulatory experience in environmental compliance
- Professional certification in Florida Water Resources Monitoring (FWRM)
- Advanced proficiency in ArcGIS and environmental data analysis software
- Demonstrated knowledge of Florida Administrative Code Chapter 62-5
- Strong written communication skills for technical report preparation
- Valid Florida driver's license with clean record
- Spanish language proficiency highly desirable
