Responsibilities
- Develop and enforce environmental regulations for air quality, water resources, and hazardous waste management
- Analyze environmental data to assess compliance with federal standards and recommend policy improvements
- Coordinate with state agencies on environmental impact assessments for major infrastructure projects
- Conduct field inspections and investigations to identify environmental violations
- Prepare technical reports and recommendations for senior leadership
- Lead community outreach initiatives to promote environmental stewardship
- Manage grant programs supporting local environmental protection initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of professional environmental compliance experience
- Valid federal security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Proficiency in environmental data analysis tools (e.g., GIS, R, Python)
- Strong knowledge of EPA regulations (Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
- U.S. citizenship required
