Responsibilities
- Develop and implement environmental regulations and compliance strategies for Pacific Northwest industries
- Conduct field inspections and environmental monitoring to assess air/water quality and hazardous waste management
- Analyze environmental data and prepare technical reports for regulatory decision-making
- Coordinate with state/local agencies and tribal nations on environmental protection initiatives
- Provide expert guidance to stakeholders on environmental compliance requirements
- Lead public outreach and education programs on sustainability practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in environmental regulation or compliance
- Proficiency in environmental data analysis software (GIS, R, or Python)
- Knowledge of federal environmental laws (Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, RCRA)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance
- Strong written/verbal communication skills with technical writing experience
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel up to 25%
