Responsibilities
- Lead development and implementation of regional environmental sustainability strategies
- Conduct complex environmental impact assessments for state-funded infrastructure projects
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams to enforce environmental regulations and standards
- Manage grant programs supporting green technology initiatives in urban areas
- Analyze environmental data to inform policy recommendations for city planning
- Represent agency at stakeholder meetings with local government and community groups
- Mentor junior staff on environmental compliance procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in environmental policy or regulatory compliance
- Advanced knowledge of Washington State environmental regulations (WACs)
- Proven project management experience with multi-stakeholder initiatives
- Strong analytical skills with environmental data interpretation
- Valid Washington State driver's license
- Experience with GIS mapping and environmental modeling software
- Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance
