Responsibilities
- Develop and implement environmental impact assessments for federal land management projects
- Analyze ecological data to inform conservation strategies and compliance with NEPA regulations
- Coordinate with tribal, state, and local agencies on environmental protection initiatives
- Lead field investigations to assess habitat quality and wildlife populations
- Prepare technical reports and policy recommendations for senior leadership
- Maintain compliance with federal environmental laws (ESA, CWA, CAA)
- Train staff on environmental best practices and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years experience in environmental policy or natural resource management
- Proficiency in GIS software and ecological data analysis tools
- Knowledge of federal environmental regulations (NEPA, ESA, CWA)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in diverse field conditions and physical environments
- US citizenship and ability to obtain federal security clearance
