Responsibilities
- Lead environmental impact assessments for state-funded infrastructure projects
- Develop and enforce compliance protocols for industrial facilities
- Analyze environmental data to identify pollution trends and mitigation strategies
- Coordinate with local government agencies on sustainability initiatives
- Prepare technical reports and policy recommendations for state legislators
- Train junior staff on environmental regulations and best practices
- Manage grant programs supporting community environmental projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of environmental regulatory experience in government or private sector
- Certified Environmental Professional (CEP) designation required
- Expert knowledge of California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and federal regulations
- Advanced proficiency in GIS mapping and environmental data analysis
- Strong project management skills with proven stakeholder engagement experience
- Valid California driver's license
