Responsibilities
- Conduct field inspections and water quality sampling across San Diego County watersheds
- Analyze environmental data using GIS software and statistical modeling tools
- Develop compliance reports for state and federal environmental regulations
- Coordinate with local agencies on pollution prevention strategies
- Lead public outreach programs on sustainable practices
- Prepare grant proposals for environmental protection projects
- Maintain accurate environmental compliance documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, or related field
- Minimum 2 years environmental compliance or regulatory experience
- Valid California driver's license with clean record
- Proficiency in ArcGIS and statistical analysis software
- Knowledge of Clean Water Act and CEQA regulations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Certified Environmental Professional (CEP) preferred
- Experience with grant writing and public speaking
