Responsibilities
- Conduct water quality assessments and pollution source investigations
- Develop and implement environmental compliance plans for industrial facilities
- Prepare detailed technical reports and regulatory documentation
- Coordinate with local government agencies and community stakeholders
- Train businesses on environmental regulations and best practices
- Monitor environmental data using GIS and laboratory analysis tools
- Represent the department in public hearings and community outreach events
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, or related field
- 3+ years of regulatory compliance experience
- Tennessee Environmental Specialist certification preferred
- Proficiency in environmental data analysis software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Valid Tennessee driver's license
- Experience with NEPA and Clean Water Act regulations
- Ability to work in field conditions and lift 25 lbs
