Responsibilities
- Manage daily office operations including scheduling, correspondence, and record maintenance
- Process and maintain confidential veteran records with strict adherence to federal protocols
- Coordinate meetings, conferences, and special events for departmental staff
- Provide exceptional customer service to veterans, families, and internal stakeholders
- Assist with budget tracking, procurement requests, and expense reporting
- Utilize Microsoft Office Suite for document preparation, data analysis, and presentations
- Support HR functions including onboarding, training coordination, and personnel file management
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve departmental objectives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years of administrative support experience in a federal or regulated environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong knowledge of federal recordkeeping and security protocols
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass federal background check
- Experience with VA systems or federal HR processes preferred
