Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain confidential veteran records in compliance with federal regulations (HIPAA, Privacy Act)
- Coordinate scheduling, correspondence, and documentation for departmental operations
- Process administrative actions including personnel actions, travel authorizations, and procurements
- Analyze and report operational metrics using federal reporting systems (e.g., VISTA, VBA)
- Provide frontline support to veterans, families, and stakeholders regarding benefits and services
- Develop and implement administrative procedures to improve workflow efficiency
- Conduct quality assurance reviews for documentation and compliance adherence
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility for federal employment
- One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-6 level
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and federal IT systems
- Knowledge of federal regulations (FAR, VA policies, 5 CFR)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
- Strong written communication skills for drafting official correspondence
- Experience with records management and document retention policies
- Customer service orientation with veteran populations preferred
