Responsibilities
- Manage veteran records and databases with strict adherence to federal privacy regulations (HIPAA/FERPA)
- Coordinate scheduling for multi-disciplinary healthcare teams and veteran appointments
- Process travel authorizations and expense reports using federal financial systems
- Prepare official correspondence, reports, and briefings for senior leadership
- Act as primary liaison between veterans, healthcare providers, and agency departments
- Ensure compliance with VA policies and federal administrative procedures
- Train staff on new administrative systems and process improvements
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Minimum 2 years federal administrative experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with federal financial systems (e.g., SMART, FPDS)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
- Strong knowledge of VA regulations and administrative procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration or related field preferred
