Responsibilities
- Process and manage veteran benefit claims with 99% accuracy and timeliness
- Coordinate with federal agencies, veterans, and stakeholders via phone/email
- Maintain confidential records and ensure compliance with federal regulations (VA Handbook 6500)
- Analyze data trends and prepare weekly/monthly performance reports
- Support outreach initiatives for underserved veteran communities
- Train and mentor new administrative staff on VA protocols
- Utilize VA-specific software systems (VBMS, VBA) for case management
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Minimum 2 years federal administrative experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and VA systems
- Active Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to pass federal background investigation
- VA Form 10-2850 Application submission
- Knowledge of Veterans Preference eligibility requirements
- Spanish bilingual preferred for community outreach
