Responsibilities
- Manage high-volume correspondence, including drafting, reviewing, and routing official documents and emails to ensure timely response.
- Coordinate complex schedules for senior leadership, including arranging meetings, travel logistics, and preparing briefing materials.
- Maintain and organize the department’s filing systems, ensuring compliance with federal record-keeping regulations and FOIA requests.
- Prepare and compile statistical reports, budget proposals, and presentations for executive review and internal distribution.
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, answering inquiries and resolving administrative issues efficiently.
- Oversee the procurement of office supplies and equipment, ensuring cost-effective management of departmental resources.
- Support special projects and initiatives as assigned by management, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field is required; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of progressive experience in federal or corporate administrative support roles.
- Proven proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and experience with Federal procurement or HRIS systems is highly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to draft professional correspondence and edit complex documents.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a favorable background investigation and security clearance as required by the federal government.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen eligible for federal employment.
