Responsibilities
- Administer federal employee benefits programs including health, life, and retirement plans
- Provide expert guidance on benefits eligibility and enrollment processes
- Process and verify claims with 100% accuracy and timeliness
- Develop and conduct benefits training sessions for new and existing employees
- Stay current with federal regulations (FEGLI, FERS, TSP) and implement policy changes
- Collaborate with HR teams to resolve complex benefits inquiries
- Generate comprehensive benefits reports for leadership review
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of experience with federal benefits administration (FEGLI/FERS/TSP)
- Proficiency with HRIS systems (e.g., eOPF, NSPS)
- Strong knowledge of federal employment laws and regulations
- Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation preferred
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Clearances: Must obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
- US citizenship required
