Responsibilities
- Manage veteran benefit enrollment processes ensuring compliance with federal regulations
- Coordinate healthcare coverage options including FEHB and TRICARE programs
- Process retirement claims and annuity calculations under CSRS/FERS systems
- Conduct benefits outreach workshops for veteran populations
- Utilize HRConnect system for case management and documentation
- Analyze eligibility requirements for VA education and vocational benefits
- Collaborate with legal teams on complex benefit appeals
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Human Resources, or related field
- Minimum 3 years federal benefits administration experience
- Proficiency with VA HRConnect and eBenefits platforms
- Current Federal Benefits Certification (FBC) preferred
- Expert knowledge of 5 U.S.C. Chapter 53 (Leave) and 5 U.S.C. Chapter 83 (Retirement)
- Ability to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance
- Experience with veteran-centric service delivery models
- Strong analytical skills for benefits compliance auditing
