Responsibilities
- Conduct Intake Interviews: Meet with applicants to gather necessary information regarding eligibility for federal benefit programs.
- Process Applications: Accurately review, verify, and input data into federal databases and case management systems.
- Client Support: Provide exceptional customer service and clear guidance to veterans and federal staff regarding their claims.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed records of all client interactions and case proceedings.
- Compliance: Ensure all actions adhere to federal regulations, privacy laws, and agency guidelines.
- Community Outreach: Represent the agency at local events and collaborate with community partners to improve service delivery.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in customer service, government operations, or veteran affairs is highly desirable.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail and proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
- Integrity: Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Availability: Must be available to work a part-time schedule (20-30 hours per week) as required.
