Responsibilities
- Process and review federal benefit applications, claims, and requests with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.
- Provide expert guidance and customer service to federal employees and veterans regarding health benefits, retirement, and compensation.
- Maintain and update digital and physical records in compliance with federal security and privacy standards (NIST/FISMA).
- Conduct research on evolving federal regulations and policy changes to ensure organizational compliance.
- Collaborate with the HR and Payroll departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely payroll processing.
- Assist in the administration of federal training programs and internal compliance audits.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in administrative support, customer service, or federal government assistance.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and federal case management software.
- Ability to pass a standard background check and obtain a government security clearance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on precision and empathy.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
