Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough intake interviews and reviews to determine eligibility for federal benefit programs.
- Analyze complex case files, medical records, and financial documentation to ensure strict compliance with federal regulations.
- Prepare and issue formal benefit determinations, award letters, and denial notices with high accuracy.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to resolve complex claims and appeal issues efficiently.
- Manage and maintain precise, confidential records in secure federal database systems.
- Provide exceptional customer service via phone, email, and in-person to explain benefit processes clearly.
- Stay updated on changes in federal legislation and internal policy updates.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Social Work, Political Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience in a government setting).
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in government services, healthcare administration, or customer service.
- Strong working knowledge of federal benefit systems and regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex policies for diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and federal case management software.
- Ability to pass a standard background check and obtain necessary government security clearance.
