Responsibilities
- Process and prioritize veteran benefit claims within strict federal timelines
- Review and verify documentation for accuracy and completeness
- Communicate with veterans, families, and stakeholders regarding claim status
- Maintain strict compliance with VA regulations and privacy laws
- Generate reports on claim processing metrics and bottlenecks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex cases
- Utilize VA systems (VBMS, VBA) for data entry and tracking
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years' experience in federal claims processing or benefits administration
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong knowledge of federal regulations (VA, HIPAA, FERPA)
- Exceptional attention to detail with error rates below 1%
- Ability to handle high-pressure deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Clearance or ability to obtain federal background check
- Experience with veteran advocacy or military family services preferred
