Responsibilities
- Process and adjudicate Social Security retirement, disability, and survivor claims with accuracy and timeliness
- Provide exceptional customer service to claimants via phone, email, and in-person appointments
- Analyze complex financial, medical, and vocational documentation to determine eligibility
- Explain benefits, regulations, and appeal processes to claimants in clear, understandable terms
- Collaborate with medical and vocational consultants to evaluate disability claims
- Maintain detailed case documentation and comply with federal reporting standards
- Participate in continuous training to stay updated on policy changes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Minimum 2 years of customer service experience with complex problem-solving
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to interpret and apply federal regulations and policies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and case management software
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal)
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass federal background investigation
- Valid driver's license for occasional travel to satellite offices
