Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive intake interviews with applicants to gather necessary documentation for claims processing.
- Adjudicate federal claims and determine eligibility based on established state and federal regulations.
- Analyze complex information and resolve discrepancies in application data with high attention to detail.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of all claims, transactions, and communications.
- Provide clear and accurate information to applicants regarding claim status and required actions.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to improve workflow efficiency and service quality.
- Stay updated on changes in government policies and legislation affecting claim processing.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Social Work, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in government administration, customer service, or claims processing.
- Strong knowledge of New York State and Federal regulations regarding benefits and claims.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during the weekend shift.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or eligible for federal employment.
